About Us

Hi! We’re the Orner family.  We are Church planting in Northern Madagascar among the Unreached Antakarana people.  We live on the small Island of Nosy Mitsio and our goal is to see reproducing churches among the Antakarana people

We are from Crossville, Tennessee, where we have spent the last five years starting our family and being molded by God to where we are right now.  After answering the call to missions in 2012 we have been appointed with A.I.M, and we are now working to complete everything we need to be ready to go.  In Crossville, we are members at Central Baptist Church, and we have a wonderful church body sending us.
Steve grew up as a missionary kid in Tanzania, where his grandparents and parents served.  He went to Rift Valley Academy in Kenya for high school, and graduated in 2002.  After that Steve went to Bryan College and earned his B.A. in communications.  He met Bekah at Bryan too!
Bekah grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia, and attended University High School where she graduated in 2002. When Bekah was a senior she got to carry the Olympic torch on its journey through Morgantown for the Salt Lake City winter games.  She also went to Bryan College and graduated with a B.S. in biology.
We were married on August 4th 2007, and started our lives together. In 2010 our beautiful daughter Ruthanne came into the world, and she has been a joy to us. She loves being outside and being with her family. Ruthie has a sweet spirit and knows how to make those around her feel special. Douglas was born in 2012 and he is all boy. He loves his sister, even when she is pushing him away. Heather was born in 2014 right before we left for Madagascar for the first time.  She is our Malagasy girl
Our family goal in our ministry is to use our family unit to follow Christ, and to share His love with other families and individuals.  We are truly blessed to be a part of this team to the unreached Antakarana, and we are excited that you have chosen to partner with God as He uses us in this ministry.
